hippos (sussita) excavations Project
The ancient city of Hippos (Sussita) of the Decapolis is located on a hill, 2 km. east of the Sea of Galilee. It is one of the most exciting ancient cities of the Holy Land, continuously excavated by our team for over 20 years.
2022 Excavation Season
Summer 2022 excavation season is not officially open yet.
We hope that Covid-19 restrictions will ease by the beginning of 2022 and we will open the registration in January 2022.
